Established in 2009 we aim to teach primary age children to do everything in an organic vegetable and fruit garden from making compost to germinating seeds to planting seedling to harvesting where the fresh produce is then taken to the kitchen for cooking and sharing. Here are some pictures from our kitchen! Rostrata Primary students have the opportunity to harvest and create their own food. The kitchen-garden idea was inspired by Stephanie Alexander. Winter has arrived and the garden is bringing lots of vegetables for us to eat. The chooks are continuing to lay huge and delicious eggs which we use in the kitchen. Winter in the kitchen brings warm and hearty meals! .
